Rose Gold Engagement Ring FAQs
Rose gold is an alloy of gold, copper and other metals. Over time with exposure to moisture the copper in your rose gold ring may change colour. This can easily be cleaned off by a jeweller.
Rose gold is an alloy that contains gold, copper and various other metals. It is the copper that gives rose gold it's red hue.
The carat of gold dictates how much pure gold is in the metal. 9ct rose gold contains 37.5% gold whereas 18ct rose gold contains 75% gold.
To keep your ring shining year round Jeremy recommends using warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush. Lightly scrub away any dirt & oil.
We also advise you send your ring in for a professional clean once a year. This also gives Jeremy an opportunity to check your setting and make sure the stone isn't coming loose.
It is also advised to insure your jewellery and keep up to date pictures and valuations. This way if the worst happens and you lose your piece Jeremy can make another one.
